8.00am We depart Ringwood bowling club and make our way down the Western Highway toward Stawell. Our first stop will be at St Anne’s Winery in Myrniong. Here you will enjoy some morning tea & a wine tasting. Back on board we continue our journey to Stawell for an amazing cooked lunch at “Mack's” restaurant. After lunch, the first Silo we visit today is at Rupanyup, artist, Julia Volchkova. After a few photos we are off to the “Sheep Hills” Silo’s, artist Matt Adnate. The stop timings for each Silo, are based on feedback from passengers. Continuing our journey, the trail takes us to the iconic structures in “Brim”, artist, Guido Van Helten. This amazing Silo towers over 30 meters high. Time to put down our cameras for the day as we head to our accommodation. Tonight, you will be dining on site at your accommodation in Horsham.
After a lovely buffet breakfast, we will be departing at 8:30am for our trip to Patchewollock. This giant mural was painted by artist, Fintan Magee. On our departure from Patchewollock, here your driver will set up for a cuppa and morning tea. Back on board we head to Lascelles Silo, artist, Tyrone Wright. Your driver will make a brief drive by through some local art work in the area before heading to Hopetoun community Hotel for a lovely cooked lunch. Back on board we make our way to Rosebery, to view the latest Silo in this region – a work only just completed in late 2017. Now we are off to Sea Lake and Lake Tyrrell “pink lakes”, for some more amazing unique views. Back on board we head to our accommodation for this evening in Swan Hill before we head a very short distance to dinner at the local RSL restaurant “The Three Arms” in Swan Hill, for some more amazing food.
After breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts, as we head into Boort. On arrival in Boort we will make our way to Simply Tomatoes, here you will be spoilt with tastes to remember. Includes a morning tea to enjoy. After this its off to the Simply Amazing – John Picollis Spanner Man. Displayed in John and Sonia Piccoli’s country garden are over 25 unique life sizes and larger than life sculptures, including an iconic shearer, a family of deer, a pair of fighting stallions, a Mallee bull, intricate garden seats and many more. John makes the sculptures by welding together antique through to modern day spanners. Now we make our way to “The Logan Pub in the Scrub” for an old-fashioned pub lunch. The Logan pub is situated by the crossroads in the bush, the pub is the only building in the area and is a little gem of a place. Hear the local news from “Keith the publican” who I am sure will have some entertaining stories for all. After lunch, we are homeward bound, stopping for refreshments en-route.
