Day 1- Friday 4TH MAY
Our Coach will depart several major stations including Southern Cross bus bays. After boarding your coach, we make our way to Seymour for morning tea and refreshment stop. The Brewers table is an ideal place for some refreshments & snacks or Gaffney’s bakery. After morning tea, we will head to Wandiligong. Today, as part of the Gala Festival we will be stopping Wandiligong here we will take some time for lunch at the Wandiligong pub. The Wandi Pub looks aged on the outside, but the interior hides a taste sensation. The menu is limited but still has a great range to choose from, the meals are sensational. They have a huge outdoor area where you can enjoy your lunch. After lunch we make our way to the Wandiligong Historic Public Hall. Enjoy the period charms as you browse in through the many stalls, showcasing locally grown produce and hand-crafted goods - exquisite hand dyed scarves, cushions, blankets, handmade cards, jewelry, novelty items, homemade jams, preserves and other indulgent treats. Mid-afternoon we will make our way to the Bright Chalets. The Chalets are nestled on the outskirts of town, with amazing views of the mountains & creeks. Your hosts will welcome you and allocate room keys, along with information regarding meal times and amenities at the resort. The remainder of the day is yours to relax – enjoy a drink in the outside gardens with views of the creek and amazing mountains.
Tonight, you will be dining in the onsite restaurant at the Bright Chalets.- Includes: 3 Course evening meal.
Day 2 Saturday 5th May
This morning, after an amazing buffet breakfast, we board the coach bound for “The Bright Gala Day”. Your coach will drop you off in town - your driver will inform you of your drop off & pick up points for today. Today is a celebration of the wonderful autumn colors, & autumn produce from the valleys of Victoria's Alpine Region. The highlight today is the Gala Grand Parade, with a market, music in the streets, the Bright Art Gallery's Autumn Exhibition, open gardens, the Metal and Wood day, & concert at the Community Centre. At 10:45 am your coach will drop you at the market parade, which will be in full action. There will be loads of stalls, food vendors, live music with a wonderful atmosphere, as hundreds of visitors come to town for the market and the ensuing parade. At 1:45 pm ensure you make your way to the Gala Parade. The parade kicks off after the markets and is a fantastic celebration, that makes up the vibrant community of Bright. At 2:45 pm your coach will be ready to pick you up and return you your accommodation. Take some time to refresh and relax before dinner.

Day 3 Sunday 6th May- Yakandandah, Beechworth
Around 10 am your coach will depart for Yackandandah, Beechworth, the villages and countryside in between. The legacy of the rush for gold remains - from the perfectly preserved streetscapes of the towns, to the countless mine shafts and mullock heaps, to astonishing water races sluiced through solid granite From Chinese Burning Towers and pioneer graves to historic government buildings, schools and museums all dating from those early, heady days of the gold rush. For those interested in early pioneering days, the stories, myths and legends, Yackandandah and the surrounding towns are full of rich gold rush history. A legacy that has shaped the built and natural landscape of the region. Once in Yackandandah we will meet up with the local guide for a town tour. After the tour, you will have some free time to explore the main street. Around 11.30am we will depart Yackandandah to make our way to Beechworth. On arrival you will have time to purchase some lunch at one of the many café’s. Beechworth bakery offers a myriad of pies, savoury food and cakes. After lunch take some time to wander through Beechworth Honey. We will meet up at the local park in the centre of town. Here we will be met by a town guide to take us through the historical precinct of Beechworth. After our tour, we will board the coach and make our way back to Bright. Tonight, you will relax at the chalet and enjoy a 3-course dinner.

Day 4 – Monday 7th May – Homeward bound via Myrtleford & Glenrowan
Enjoy your buffet breakfast. This morning we say goodbye to our hosts. We will be departing at 9:00 am. As we depart Bright along the Great Alpine Road we will take some time to call into the, Bright Berry Farm. The farm produces top quality berries resulting in jams and syrups that are full of the rich flavours of those of old. From its early days the farm has now expanded to 15 acres of berries, 2 acres of vineyard, five acres of cherries and three acres of mixed produce including nuts, apples and figs. Available for purchase at Bright Berry Farms are pre-picked berries, ice-creams, sorbets, fruit wines, cordials and of course their delicious jams and syrups (including diabetic-friendly products). Incorporated into Bright Berry Farms in 1997, the Mt Buffalo Vineyard label produces cool-climate reds, some of which have been highly rated by Australian wine critics. After our visit here, we continue along a short distance to Myrtleford, where you will find Gapsted Winery. 2001 the cellar door was built and over the years it has won numerous awards. Some of these include 'Best Alpine Winery' for six consecutive years and the Victorian Tourism Awards for 'Best . Gapsted wines have been acknowledged locally and abroad - winning a staggering 26 Trophies & 83 Gold Medals. Today, whilst enjoying a tasting with a choice of over 25 wines, you can sit down and enjoy the views, along with some amazing local produce platters (included in tour cost) to accompany your tasting. Back on board its off too lunch and a tour at Glenrowan. Today as you explore the township you will be sure to see the Big Ned Kelly Statue. There are many museums, stores and plenty of places that will tell you about Ned Kelly and the Kelly Family. The local pub has a good hearty old fashioned meal. Or for a light snack, there are quite a few cafés to purchase a light lunch before we head home. We will be stopping en-route, refreshment stops.
